There are another eleven people in this common grave but the headstone just says one of them:- Nancy Hopkins, so her family may have paid for this headstone.  The headstone also mentions her son John, daughter in law, Isabel and their daughter Emily although they are not buried here.  John was buried at sea and it is possible that his wife and daughter are buried in Bahia, Brazil as this mentioned on the headstone.

Nancy was born in 1809.  She married to William Hopkins, a Weaver.  They had at least one child, John, born 18 June 1835, baptised St Peters, Leeds, 1835 living Hunslet Lane, Leeds (see Baptism below)

John married Isabel Summerscale (see Marriage Cert below)

John and Isabel had at least one child, Emily, born 1870, died 13 May 1879, 9 years.  

Nancy died 8 April 1869, 60 years.
