The Dodsworth family story is very sad.  Thomas Dodsworth was 24 when he married Susannah Fawcett in 1859 (see Marriage Certificate below), there were no children from this marriage and she died in 1860 at age 26 yrs.  She is buried in this grave.

When he was 26 in 1861 he married for the second time to Ann Ellen Massey (see Marriage Certificate below), they had three children but they all died young, she died 1866, 25 yrs.  She is buried in this grave along with their three children.

In 1868, when he was 35, he married for the third and final time to Sarah Ann Watson (see Marriage Certificate below).  They had three children (two of whom are buried in the same grave) but only one lived into adulthood.  

Thomas Dodsworth died in 1872 and is buried in this grave.

Although it says Thomas died in 1872 at the age of 31, he was probably 38 yrs old and this discrepancy may be because the headstone is badly weathered.  His occupations were Cart Driver, Tobacconist and a Beer Seller.
