Percy was the youngest son of Horace & Ann Sturdy and lived at 7 Elford Terrace. He had a twin sister Laura who died aged 6 months [buried in a Guinea Grave]. Percy was a choir boy at St,Aidens church, and was later employed at Green`s Lawnmower Manufacturers on North Street. He served his country in WW1 and was later ordained into the Anglican Church. For a time he was chaplain at Armley Gaol, and later served in several Leeds Parishes. He and his wife Violet had 3 children. Buried in 1979 Percy was one of the last burials in Beckett Street
