Remembrance Day Tour 2014

Remembrance Day Tour 2014
Alun Pugh, our chairman, will again take us on a one hour walk through the cemetery to see some of the headstones of servicemen and women who are buried or remembered in Beckett Street. This year we will be stopping at headstones commemorating those killed and buried abroad in WW1  At each stop there will be a tale to tell and a British Legion Cross will be left in place. At the end we will observe a minutes silence and lay a wreath at our Cross of Sacrifice.
Please meet at our notice board, and wear suitable footwear as it will probably be wet and muddy.
No booking required but please ring Alun on 0113-2253866 should you require more information

Workers in the Cemetery

Workers in the Cemetery

Work in the Cemetery continues apace! Teams of 5 or 6 long-term unemployed men have been working with Parks’ staff for a month at a time and they are really making a difference! Paths are clearer, with the edges now well defined, a state not seen for many years.
